Most people don't think about their power bank until their phone hits 5% at the worst possible moment. The Ambrane AeroSync PB10K is a sensible default for that scenario — it's a 10000mAh backup charger that does the basics well without making a meal of the decision. After two weeks of daily testing, here's the honest take: it charges my phone fast enough to matter, it fits in a jeans pocket, and it costs less than a movie ticket. That's the value proposition in one sentence.
| Buy If | Skip If |
|---|---|
| You want a backup charger for emergency use | You need 30W+ fast charging for a laptop or tablet |
| You carry a single smartphone and need 2-3 top-ups per day | You want wireless charging built into the power bank |
| You prefer USB-A ports for older cables | You need a premium build (this is plastic, not aluminum) |
| You're okay with a 3.5-hour recharge time | You travel internationally and need global certifications |
The AeroSync PB10K has a rectangular plastic body with rounded edges. The textured finish on the top and bottom helps with grip — it doesn't slide off smooth surfaces and doesn't pick up obvious fingerprints. The 4 LED indicators are on the top edge, visible at a glance. The USB-A ports and USB-C input/output port are clustered on one short edge.
At 230g, it's slightly lighter than the Mi Power Bank 4i (232g) and noticeably lighter than the boAt EnergyShroom PB310 (245g). The dimensions are pocket-friendly — 142mm long means it fits in a jeans coin pocket without bulging. The build is plastic, which keeps the cost down but doesn't feel as premium as the Mi or URBN alternatives with metal finishes.
The 18W output is the sweet spot for most Indian smartphone users. With a Pixel 7a, I got a full charge from 5% to 100% in about 1 hour 50 minutes. With a Samsung Galaxy A54, it took around 1 hour 40 minutes — Samsung's adaptive fast charging kicks in nicely. With an iPhone 13, it took about 1 hour 50 minutes (limited to ~20W by Apple's standard).
For phones that support higher wattage (OnePlus 30W+, realme 50W+, etc.), this power bank caps at 18W, which means slower charging than the wall adapter. For most users this isn't a deal-breaker — 18W is still fast enough to add 50% battery in 30 minutes.
10000mAh rated, real-world capacity is the question everyone asks. I tested by charging a dead Pixel 7a (4385mAh battery) from 0% to 100% repeatedly:
So roughly 2.3 full charges for a typical 4500mAh phone. The conversion loss from 3.7V to 5V is normal — expect 60-70% of rated capacity in real-world use.
Recharging the power bank via the USB-C input takes about 3.5 hours with an 18W adapter. With a 5W adapter (old phone chargers), it can take 9-10 hours. The 18W fast-input is a real time-saver if you remember to top it up overnight.
2x USB-A output + 1x USB-C (input/output). The USB-C port works as both input (for recharging the power bank) and output (for charging devices). USB-A is the older standard but most cables still use it. Simultaneous output from both USB-A ports is supported but caps at 18W combined.
12-layer protection is the standard Ambrane marketing claim, and it covers the basics: overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature, short circuit. The power bank also has BIS certification (visible on the back). In two weeks of testing, I never had any overheating or weird behavior.
| Alternative | Price | Why Consider It |
|---|---|---|
| Mi Power Bank 4i 10000mAh | ~₹999 | 22.5W charging, more refined build, established brand |
| boAt EnergyShroom PB310 | ~₹899 | 22.5W charging, digital display, more ports |
| URBN UPR101 | ~₹999 | Indian-made, 22.5W charging, similar price |
| Ambrane Pocket 10K | ~₹699 | Same brand, slightly cheaper, similar features |
The Ambrane AeroSync PB10K is a competent 10000mAh power bank that does the basics without any flashy features. It charges a typical smartphone 2-2.5 times, fits in a jeans pocket, and costs less than ₹900. For users who want a backup charger for emergencies and don't need 22.5W fast charging, it's a sensible pick.
Rating: 7.0/10 — Reliable budget option that delivers on the basics.
The AeroSync PB10K is a no-nonsense 10000mAh power bank for users who want a backup charger without spending much. It does the job, fits in your pocket, and doesn't break the bank. If you need 22.5W charging or a premium build, look elsewhere. If you need a reliable emergency backup, this is a sensible pick.
